Toby update

The arthritis combination that I am using seems to be working for Toby. She is putting more weight on her leg and is limping less. Our vet wrote a prescription for Ultram [Tramadol] that I am using now and then when it seems that she is hurting and that is also helping until she is getting the full benefit from the liquid glucosamine and everything else we are using.
We also bought her an orthopedic bed from Drs. Foster and Smith.
Here she is trying it out with her sister Jessie.

  1. Happy to hear Toby is doing better and hope she (and Jessie) enjoys her new dog bed. Thanks for linking to Drs. Foster & Smith, much appreciated.

  3. Joy -- great pic! Glad to hear that Toby is responding well to treatment. Charlie is also on Tramadol for those days when he over does it with Abby. Charlie was just diagnosed with elbow dysplasia in both front legs. Poor guy. We started the Synflex just over a week ago plus the other nutritional support but I am not sure how well it will help since his problem is genetic. Also, I just ordered an elbow support brace made of soft nylon and velcro construction so he can wear it while hiking. I am hoping the additional support will make him less stiff in the evening.

  4. I would think the Syn-Flex should help no matter what the cause of the joint condition. I'm interested in where you got the elbow support.
