Chaz loves to drink out of a cup. He has his own little ritual.
At night, right before bedtime, he stands at the sink and meows. That means he wants the water freshened up. Then he drinks to his heart's content.
And he's a happy boy.

Sean has been anxious the last couple of days. Maybe because I have been having a lot of work done on the house and he doesn't like change or strangers.
But Riley has been comforting him.

How could I have forgotten to post about Sean's birthday? Probably because it was the day I was reeling from the unexpected death of my uncle.
But I did post on Facebook and Sean got extra love and attention that day.
But here he is in his own post.

Happy birthday, Riley!

9 years old today. He seems to be feeling better too. All his lab work came back fine and he only coughed twice in the past two weeks so we cancelled the echocardiogram.

Our sweet boy

Riley seems to be having some health issues. We're hoping it's minor but working him up to make sure we don't miss anything. For now, it appears he may be hyperthyroid. He had a chest x-ray and some lab work [which he did NOT approve of] and I should have all the results tomorrow. So far, it's leaning toward that diagnosis but we can't rule out a cardiac condition either. We should know by tomorrow. If the lab work isn't conclusive he will have to have an echocardiogram on Monday which I know for sure he will not approve of.
Please say a prayer for our little sweetie.

Heard a funny rhythmic tapping the other night while I was watching TV. Looked over to my side and saw Bella sound asleep and wagging her tail, thumping it against the floor. I have seen puppies dream and twitch - even bark - in their sleep. But I have never seen a dog wag its tail while sleeping. I'm hoping that means Bella is a happy girl.

Little Sean has had a setback. He's okay but apparently he doesn't tolerate regular food anymore. After couple of weeks back on his regular diet, he started vomiting again, increasing in frequency.a

 

So the vet decided he needs to be on the prescription diet for the rest of his life. 

It would be all right if Riley could have dry food. But I have to be careful with him.

They can all have the canned prescription diet food but Sean likes the dry prescription food too so for now when he eats that he has to eat it in a room all by himself while the others eat the regular stuff - because of course I have a ton of the regular stuff in the pantry that I want to use up. 

But Sean can't have that either.So some meals are eaten in separate areas and of course everyone wants what the other one has.

It makes life interesting.

But the good news is that Sean seems better again and no vomiting. Small price to pay for his good health.

I'm so glad he is feeling better. He is back to regular food and seems to be tolerating it all right.
