Thank God for our kids

I still miss John very much and there are times when I feel his absence more than others. Sunday nights are hard, most evenings are very hard. John and I used to watch TV in our bedroom with the kids all around us. Now it's just me and the loneliness can be overpowering at times.
But last night Riley did his best to fill in for his Dad.
I was watching TV and felt a pressure on my arm. I looked down and there was Riley sound asleep holding onto my arm while he slept.
So precious.
I did the best I could to get his picture without disturbing him. All I could grab was my iPad which was on the bedside table so this picture is not the best but it gives you an idea.

Such a sweetie.
